- 通过 AlarmKit 创建系统级闹钟;
- 在锁屏等位置展示系统闹钟状态(AlarmKit 实时活动由系统控制;你使用缓醒卡后,专属实时活动 / 灵动岛展示再次响铃倒计时);
- 在你使用缓醒卡后,通过系统通知展示再次响铃倒计时;
- 录制你主动创建的叫醒语音;

- 你主动拍摄或设置头像;
- 身份识别;
- 用户实名认证;
- 面部身份匹配;
- 建立用于身份识别的人脸模板;
- Mission 相机画面不会用于广告投放;
- 不会用于建立你的身份画像;
- 不会用于训练通用人工智能模型;

- 由你在系统设置中管理,无需在 WakePaw 内单独授权 iCloud;
- 通常在充电、锁屏、连接 Wi-Fi 等条件下由系统自动进行;
- 本机身份与应用数据保存至你卸载应用或清除数据;
- 系统 iCloud 备份的保存期限由 Apple 及你的 iCloud 设置决定;

- 根据法律法规要求;
- 根据司法机关依法提出的要求;
- 根据行政机关依法提出的要求;
- 为保护用户或公众重大合法权益且符合法律规定;
- 闹钟正在响铃时;

We value your privacy and the security of your personal information.
This Policy is used to explain how we collect, use, store, share, protect, and process information related to you when you use WakePaw, and how you may exercise related rights.
This Policy, together with the WakePaw User Agreement, constitutes an important basis for your use of WakePaw services.
Please read this Policy carefully before using WakePaw.
For personal-information processing activities that legally require your consent or separate consent, we will obtain your authorization separately through the corresponding page, a system-permission prompt, or other reasonable means.
1. What Information We Collect
The personal information processor of WakePaw is individual developer Lijuan Wu (吴丽娟) (hereinafter referred to as “we,” “us,” or “our”). We collect and process personal information only to the extent necessary to provide the services. We will not actively collect your contact details for marketing profiling or customer management.
The specific scope of collection will vary depending on the features you actually use.
1.1 Information You Provide Voluntarily
You may voluntarily provide us with the following information:
- nicknames, avatars, and other profile information you set on this device;
- a Wake ID generated on this device (used only for on-device display and feature operation; currently not uploaded to our servers);
- pet nicknames and related personalization settings;
- wake-up voice that you actively record and save;
- content you voluntarily submit through in-app “Send us feedback” or the contact email (including the feedback type you select); email and screenshots are optional (up to 9 screenshots), and not filling them in does not affect submission. After you tap Submit, the content is delivered to our contact email through a form-forwarding service; you do not need to sign in to the system Mail app. We will not, as a result, additionally collect your Apple account, device identifiers, or other information you have not filled in;
- problem descriptions, screenshots, device information, or other necessary information that you yourself provide when communicating with us.
1.2 Alarm, Task, and App-Usage Data
To provide WakePaw’s core features, we may process:
- alarm times;
- repeat rules;
- ringtone settings;
- Mission types;
- Mission difficulty;
- Mission completion status;
- successful or failed wake-up records;
- Snooze Card usage;
- consecutive-completion records;
- in-app asset records such as Morning Light (晨光), badges, and food;
- pet growth status;
- in-app preference settings;
- basic statistical data related to core features.
Some of this data may be stored only locally on your device.
At the current stage, we do not operate our own servers to store the foregoing data. If you have enabled iCloud Backup in system settings, related on-device data may be automatically backed up to your own iCloud together with a full-device backup (processed by Apple; we cannot read it). On-device identity is not the same authorization as system iCloud Backup.
1.3 Device and Basic Technical Information
To ensure app compatibility, stability, and security, and to troubleshoot technical issues, we may process limited device information, for example:
- iOS system version;
- device model;
- WakePaw app version;
- device language or region settings;
- crash and exception information;
- basic network status;
- technical information related to service security.
We will not collect unnecessary device information for purposes unrelated to WakePaw’s features.
We will not collect your precise geolocation, contacts, or SMS content.
2. Description of System Permissions
Some of WakePaw’s features require the use of system permissions provided by iOS.
We will request permissions in accordance with the “minimum necessary” principle when you actually use the corresponding feature.
2.1 Alarm- and Notification-Related Permissions
Used for:
- creating system-level alarms through AlarmKit;
- displaying system alarm status in places such as the lock screen (AlarmKit Live Activity is controlled by the system; after you use a Snooze Card, a dedicated Live Activity / Dynamic Island displays the countdown to the next ring);
- after you use a Snooze Card, displaying the countdown to the next ring through system notifications;
- other system features directly related to the wake-up flow.
In the current version, local notifications are used only for the snooze countdown, and will not be used to keep the process alive after it is killed or for wakefulness confirmation.
If you refuse or turn off related permissions, some wake-up features may not work normally.
2.2 Microphone Permission
The microphone is requested only when you actively use the wake-up voice recording feature.
Used for:
- recording wake-up voice that you actively create;
- saving or playing content that you actively recorded.
We will not continuously record when you are not actively using the recording feature.
2.3 Camera Permission
The camera may be used for:
- pose-recognition tasks such as squats and jumping jacks;
- eyes-open detection;
- avatars that you actively photograph or set;
- other visual tasks that are clearly explained to you.
Camera permission will be requested when you actually use the related feature.
2.4 Photo Library Permission
Photo library permission is requested only when you actively choose an avatar, actively pick screenshots for feedback, or actively save a daily inspiration card to the photo library.
Used for: setting the photo you selected as your avatar; attaching screenshots you selected to feedback you submit; or writing a daily inspiration card that you generated to your photo library. Avatars stay on this device by default. Feedback screenshots are sent only when you submit, via Mail or the system share sheet, and we do not bulk-read your library. Saving a card requests add-only photo permission and does not read or bulk-access your library.
We will not bulk-read your photo library.
2.5 Other Permissions
As WakePaw features are updated, some features may need to use other system permissions.
If a new permission is needed, we will explain its purpose before requesting it, and obtain your authorization through the iOS system authorization mechanism.
3. Special Notes on Pose Recognition, Eyes-Open Detection, and Camera Data
Because some of WakePaw’s Missions use the camera, this section specially explains how related data is processed.
3.1 Pose Recognition
Squats, jumping jacks, and similar body-motion tasks may use the device camera and system vision capabilities to judge pose.
Related recognition is in principle completed on the device locally.
We will not continuously upload real-time video frames to a server in order to complete pose recognition.
3.2 Eyes-Open Detection
WakePaw may use the device’s vision capabilities to judge whether the user has their eyes open.
The purpose of this feature is only to judge whether a Mission has been completed.
WakePaw will not use this feature to:
- identify identity;
- perform real-name authentication of the user;
- match facial identity;
- build a face template used for identity recognition;
- retain the user’s facial-feature templates long-term.
Eyes-open detection uses device face-tracking related capabilities (such as ARKit), is in principle completed on the device locally, and related data is not used for identity recognition and will not be uploaded for that recognition.
3.3 Camera Frames
Real-time camera frames generated during a task are used only for the immediate processing required by the current Mission.
Unless you actively perform a clearly intended operation such as photographing an avatar or saving a photo, we will not retain camera frames generated during a Mission as a recording long-term.
After a task ends, temporary image frames used for real-time recognition will not be retained long-term as surveillance recordings.
3.4 Not Used for Advertising or Model Training
Unless we separately explain to you in the future and lawfully obtain the necessary authorization:
- Mission camera frames will not be used for advertising delivery;
- they will not be used to build an identity profile of you;
- they will not be used to train general-purpose artificial intelligence models;
- they will not be used for purposes unrelated to completing WakePaw’s current features.
3.5 Motion Sensors
Tasks such as shake detection may use motion data such as the device accelerometer to judge whether the motion meets the standard.
Related processing is in principle completed on the device locally, is not collected through the camera, and raw motion data will not be uploaded for that recognition.
4. Wake-Up Voice
4.1 Local Storage
Wake-up voice that you actively record will be written to WakePaw’s voice library only after you choose to save it.
By default, we will preferentially use local storage.
4.2 Backup
Wake-up voice is by default saved on the device. If system iCloud Backup is enabled, voice files may enter your own iCloud together with a full-device backup.
We will not upload voice to servers we operate when you sign in to WakePaw.
4.3 Deleting Voice
You may delete saved wake-up voice through features provided in the App.
If that voice has already been included in your system iCloud backup, whether it still appears in an old backup after you delete the on-device voice depends on Apple’s backup and restore mechanisms.
5. How We Use Information
We may use collected information for the following purposes:
- providing and operating WakePaw’s core alarm features;
- providing Missions;
- recording task-completion status;
- providing pet growth and companionship features;
- providing in-app asset features such as Morning Light and badges;
- saving your preference settings;
- storing data on the device, and, when you have enabled system iCloud Backup, having Apple back it up together with a full-device backup;
- providing personalized features such as voice and avatars;
- completing Pro membership and purchase-entitlement verification;
- restoring purchases;
- preventing cheating, abuse, and abnormal conduct;
- troubleshooting app crashes and serious failures;
- improving app compatibility, security, and stability;
- responding to your customer-service, feedback, or rights requests;
- fulfilling obligations required by laws and regulations.
We will not sell your personal information.
6. Information Storage and Retention Periods
6.1 Local Data
The current version does not provide in-app sign-in. Most alarm, task, pet, Morning Light, and preference data is stored only locally on the device.
If you:
- uninstall WakePaw;
- clear app data;
- change devices;
- reset the device;
data that has not been included in system iCloud Backup may be permanently lost.
6.2 iCloud Backup and Copies We Do Not Hold
The current version does not operate its own servers to store your alarms, pets, Morning Light, or wake-up voice. This data is in principle only on your device locally.
If you enable iOS “iCloud Backup,” Apple may back up some data in this App’s sandbox to your iCloud. That backup:
- is managed by you in system settings, and does not require a separate iCloud authorization within WakePaw;
- is usually performed automatically by the system under conditions such as charging, lock screen, and Wi-Fi connection;
- we cannot technically read its contents.
The current version will not upload the foregoing data to our servers because of sign-in.
Records we may retain that are unrelated to the cloud mainly include: content you actively submit through in-app feedback or the contact email (including an email address you voluntarily leave), and information that laws and regulations require to be retained.
In principle:
- on-device identity and app data are retained until you uninstall the App or clear data;
- the retention period of system iCloud backups is determined by Apple and your iCloud settings;
- feedback and customer-service records are retained for a reasonably necessary period after handling is completed;
- records that laws and regulations expressly require to be retained will be retained for the statutory period.
If in the future we switch to CloudKit multi-device sync or introduce self-operated services, we will update this Policy accordingly.
6.3 Principle of Shortest Necessary Period
Except as otherwise required by laws and regulations, we will not retain without limit personal information that is no longer necessary for use.
After the purpose of retention has been achieved, we will, based on the actual circumstances:
- delete;
- anonymize;
- or cease further processing of the related information.
7. Apple Services and Purchases
7.1 No In-App Sign-In in the Current Version
The current version of WakePaw does not provide Sign in with Apple or other in-app account sign-in. Nickname and Wake ID are stored only locally on the device.
If account sign-in is introduced in the future, we will update this Policy and describe the scope of identity information then collected.
7.2 App Store Purchases and Subscriptions
WakePaw’s Pro membership, permanent purchases, and other digital goods are primarily completed through the Apple App Store.
Payment information is processed by Apple.
We generally will not directly obtain your:
- full bank card number;
- complete Apple Pay payment credentials;
- Apple ID password.
We may receive information related to purchase-entitlement verification, for example:
- product type;
- purchase status;
- subscription status;
- whether it has expired;
- restore-purchase results.
8. Third-Party Services and Sharing
We will not provide your personal information to third parties in order to sell personal information.
In order to provide WakePaw services, we may use necessary third-party services.
8.1 Apple
WakePaw depends on some services provided by Apple, including without limitation:
- iOS;
- the App Store;
- iCloud Backup (provided by the system; we cannot read backup contents);
- AlarmKit;
- system notifications;
- in-app purchases;
- other Apple system capabilities.
Apple’s processing of related data is subject to Apple’s own privacy policy and terms of service.
8.2 Cloud Services and Technology Service Providers
If WakePaw uses third-party technology services such as cloud storage, data sync, crash analysis, or servers, we will provide necessary information to the related service providers only to the extent necessary to implement the corresponding features.
The current version has not integrated a standalone third-party crash-analysis SDK or advertising SDK.
When you actively use “Send us feedback” and tap Submit, the type, text, optional email, and screenshots you entered are sent to our contact email through the form-forwarding service FormSubmit (formsubmit.co). That service is used only to forward content you chose to submit; we will not create an account as a result.
We will gradually improve related third-party service descriptions based on actual use.
If in the future we introduce a third-party SDK or service that would have a material impact on users’ personal information, we will update this Policy accordingly.
8.3 Legal Requirements
We may lawfully provide or disclose necessary information in the following situations:
- as required by laws and regulations;
- as required by a judicial authority in accordance with law;
- as required by an administrative authority in accordance with law;
- to protect users’ or the public’s material lawful rights and interests and in compliance with legal provisions;
- where we have obtained your lawful authorization.
9. Advertising and Tracking
WakePaw’s free version may currently or in the future display ads, but ads will not affect the normal use of the core alarm flow. If the current version does not yet display ads, the actual in-app features prevail.
In principle, we will not insert ads that affect task completion in the following key wake-up flows:
- while an alarm is ringing;
- during a Mission;
- during key snooze flows.
If WakePaw integrates third-party advertising services in the future, we will update this Policy based on the actual integration.
If an advertising feature involves:
- cross-app or cross-website tracking;
- Tracking conduct as defined by Apple;
- accessing the system advertising identifier;
- additional data processing required for personalized ads;
we will, in necessary circumstances, obtain your authorization separately in accordance with applicable rules such as Apple App Tracking Transparency.
Your refusal of related tracking authorization should not affect WakePaw’s basic features unrelated to that authorization.
10. Protection of Minors
10.1 Minors Generally
If you are a minor under the age of eighteen, please use WakePaw under the guidance of a parent or other guardian.
When paid purchases are involved, you should obtain the guardian’s consent.
10.2 Users Under Fourteen Years of Age
WakePaw is not currently a product specifically designed for children under fourteen years of age.
If you are under fourteen years of age, please use WakePaw with the consent and under the guidance of a parent or other guardian.
If we discover that we have collected personal information of a child under fourteen years of age without appropriate guardian authorization, we will take deletion or other necessary processing measures in accordance with law.
If in the future WakePaw expressly provides special features for users under fourteen years of age, we will further improve children’s personal-information protection rules in accordance with applicable law.
11. Your Personal Information Rights
To the extent provided by applicable law, you may exercise corresponding rights with respect to your personal information.
Including:
- accessing your personal information;
- correcting inaccurate information;
- supplementing incomplete information;
- deleting personal information that meets the conditions;
- withdrawing authorization already given;
- requesting restriction of or objecting to some personal-information processing;
- requesting a copy of personal information where the law so provides;
- requesting transfer of personal information when statutory conditions are met;
- requiring us to explain personal-information processing rules;
- clearing on-device app data by uninstalling the App;
- complaining about or providing feedback on personal-information processing.
Some features may no longer work normally because you withdrew authorization, but this will not affect the validity of information-processing conduct carried out based on the authorization before withdrawal.
12. Account Deletion and On-Device Data Deletion
12.1 In-App Deletion
The current version does not provide cloud-account sign-in. You may still delete the on-device identity and clear data in the App; sending an email is not a necessary condition:
Me → Settings → Account Management → Delete Account
After you read the explanation of consequences and confirm, deletion is completed within this App. Confirmation clears nickname, Wake ID, avatar, alarms, persistence items, pets, Morning Light, badges, wake-up voice, records, and similar data in the on-device sandbox.
You may also clear on-device app data by uninstalling WakePaw or deleting this App in system Settings.
If a full-device backup from before deletion or uninstall still exists in system iCloud, restoring that backup may restore the prior on-device state; that is determined by Apple’s backup mechanism.
12.2 Information We May Still Hold
Because the current version in principle does not upload on-device business data to our servers, after deletion we usually do not hold a further cloud business copy that can be deleted.
If you previously submitted content voluntarily through “Send us feedback” or the contact email (including an optional email address and screenshots), we will, after handling is completed and within a reasonably necessary period, delete, anonymize, or retain necessary records as required by applicable law.
12.3 Deletion Is Not Equivalent to Cancelling a Subscription
Deleting the account, uninstalling, or deleting WakePaw will not automatically cancel your Apple App Store auto-renewing subscription.
If an active subscription exists, please also cancel the corresponding subscription through Apple’s system subscription-management page.
12.4 Other Rights Requests
If you cannot complete personal-information related operations through in-app features, you may contact us through the contact email provided at the end of this Policy.
We may need to reasonably verify your identity, to avoid others accessing, modifying, or deleting your information without authorization.
13. Information Security
We will take technical and management measures commensurate with the scale of the business and the risks of data processing to protect your information, including without limitation:
- restricting data-access permissions;
- taking security-protection measures for necessary network transmissions;
- reducing unnecessary data collection;
- preferentially using on-device processing;
- guarding against unauthorized access, modification, leakage, or destruction.
However, the Internet, software, and electronic storage systems cannot guarantee absolute security.
You should also pay attention to:
- setting a device lock-screen password;
- properly protecting your Apple ID;
- updating iOS promptly;
- avoiding leaving the device for use by untrusted persons.
13.1 Security Incidents
If a personal-information leakage, alteration, loss, or other security incident occurs, we will promptly take necessary remedial measures based on the circumstances of the incident.
If applicable law so requires, we will also report to the relevant regulatory authorities in accordance with law, and inform affected users in an appropriate manner of:
- the basic facts of the incident;
- possible impacts;
- measures already taken or to be taken;
- preventive measures users can take;
- contact information and other information.
14. Cross-Border Processing
WakePaw is currently in an early MVP stage.
Some basic services may depend on the global infrastructure of Apple or other technology service providers.
If in the future WakePaw actively provides personal information that is legally subject to cross-border rules to an overseas recipient, we will fulfill corresponding obligations as required by applicable law.
Depending on the actual circumstances, this may include:
- informing of information related to the overseas recipient;
- explaining the purposes of processing and types of information;
- taking necessary data-protection measures;
- lawfully obtaining necessary authorization or separate consent;
- fulfilling other cross-border data obligations provided by law.
We will not unnecessarily expand the scope of cross-border processing of personal information merely for technical convenience.
15. Updates to this Policy
As WakePaw’s features, technology, or legal environment change, we may update this Privacy Policy.
The updated Policy will be published through:
- the WakePaw App;
- the privacy-policy page;
- or other reasonable means;
and the effective date will be updated.
If an update involves:
- adding important types of personal information collected;
- a material change in processing purposes;
- a material change in the scope of personal-information sharing;
- a material change in user rights;
- other matters that may have a material impact on you;
we will provide notice through a pop-up, a prominent prompt, or other reasonable means.
Where the law requires us to obtain your consent or separate consent again, we will obtain the corresponding authorization again.
